On July 5, 2023, the last SHIP2FAIR review meeting was held online and on-site. For the partners of the Consortium who were able to travel, the event took place at Les Canards d’Auzan in Castelnau-d’Auzan-Labarrère in the south of France.

SHIP2FAIR partners presented their progress and discussed the project’s results with the European Commission Project Officer.

This meeting was also an opportunity for the Consortium to visit the solar field installed in 2023. The visit, introduced by Matthieu Lambert, Director of Les Canards d’Auzan, started with the 270 solar panels placed on the ground. The group followed the piping system and gathered in the rooms that contain the pump, heat exchanger, boiler and control panel. Giovanni Ambrosino from TVP Solar explained the solar field. The group was able to solve some doubts about the installation and also the hail damage.

The solar field installed at Larnaudie, working at full load, can reach up to 21% of solar fraction under the best conditions and can supply 12% of the overall heat demand.

Scalation of the solar field and coupling with heat pumps are the planned steps of Canards plant to increase the on-site renewable energy consumption.
