The objective of the deliverable is the calculation of the KPIs agreed by the consortium in Task 6.1 for the three mentioned demo-sites above: M&R, RODA and LARNAUDIE .

The Methodology followed in this Deliverable included the following phases:

  • Phase 1: From a general definition of possible KPIs specific ones related to the different demo sites
    were defined
  • Phase 2: The KPIs had been implemented in the ICT infrastructure and as Module F of the Ship2Fair
Control tool, receiving values from the demo plants in real time and allowing the plant operator to
quickly check on the performance of the plant.
  • Phase 3: The results of the different KPIs implemented had been evaluated for each demo-site in this
report based on a monthly and annual basis in case enough data was available. Regarding the
monthly basis three specific periods with different ambient conditions were chosen namely
    o Summer period
    ▪ Characteristic: high ambient temperature, rather high and less fluctuating solar radiation, less clouds
    ▪ Typical months: June, July and August
    o Transition period
    ▪ Characteristic: medium ambient temperature, medium to high solar radiation but often fluctuating and can change significantly from one day to another
    ▪ Typical months: March, April, May, September, October, November
    o Winter period
    ▪ Characteristic: low ambient temperature, less solar but typically stable radiation
    ▪ Typical months: December, January, February.
Regarding the annual evaluation of the KPIs a full year was used to evaluate the KPI and compare, if possible, with values given from the proposal as well as from the ship2fair Replication tool.
  • Phase 4: The achieved values were discussed, and a conclusion was drawn.

The outcome of the report is an overview of the several Key performance Indicators (KPI) for each demo site installed in Ship2Fair (M&R, RODA, LARNAUDIE) based on real data achieved from the plant by the control tool and compared to targeted KPIs of the proposal as well as compared to the results of the Ship2Fair Replication Tool. In order to draw a conclusion regarding the energy savings as well as the achieved performance of the plants.
