On 23 February 2022, the SHIP2FAIR project – Solar Heat for Industrial Process towards Food & Agro Industries commitment in Renewables – won the Go!ODS Award in the category of “Clean and Affordable Energy” of the DSG 7 (Sustainable Development Goal – ODS in Spanish) promoted by the United Nations Global Compact Spain and Rafael del Pino Foundation.
Andrés Llombart, CEO of CIRCE, received this recognition for the work of the project in assisting the agri-food sector on the path to replace the use of natural gas with the production of high temperature solar renewable heat.
The Go!ODS Awards recognize and support innovative projects that contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. These global goals, adopted by the UN General Assembly on 25 September 2015, set out the specific targets to be achieved over the next decade to ensure prosperity for all as part of a new Sustainable Development Agenda.
